you will only get dump/restore buttons if you have a usbstick plugged in.

I'll need a bit more than "fop not working" to help you.

Have you issued a commit?

Did you do a console-save after each install?

Hi,

I have done commit in globals and signal-event console-save, when i am in the fop-panel there is no reaction when i start a call.

I have done the same install on the 2nd server, on that server the fop-panel is working "normal" and i can see a dump and restore-button (that confuses me before because there is no usb-dev plugged)

Thanks for this update.

I would add a comment for later releases:
It would be usefull to have the Backup/Restore made permanent with a field to select folder to contain the backups.

Thanks!

1. Sail conflicts with an other contribs:  smeserver-tftp-server

2. Hey ! I now have a stop button...

3. "amalgamated trunk into three single buttons": I have 5 trunks, how do I show them all?

It does.  Not a lot we can do about that really.  You can only have one tftp server running.  Anyway, we're guessing that if you are running a PBX, then you don't want to run a tftp boot-server on the same machine (which is what I think the contrib is for).

you certainly do.  It will stop the PBX and change to a start button if you click it ;)

It's different.  In the new release the Trunk button will show how many channels are in use.  Downside is you can't use drag and drop transfer from a trunk, but we don't know anyone who used that anyway because it is a bit clunky. Instead we have one button for each trunk type (SIP, IAX, ZAP) and it shows how many channels are in use at any one time.  It's always going to be a compromise; on the one hand we want to show as many extensions as we can on the screen, but we also want to show trunk information.  One button per trunk is expensive in terms of real-estate on the screen.  This is our compromise.

It would but it's quite a bit of work to do.  How's your PERL?  Ours is awful, :( - so we can always use some help.  Please feel free to hack away at sarkglobals (the script which does the dump/restore).  The current dump was built for our engineers in the field.  They can just shove a USBdrive in and do a dump.  Easy, quick and takes no thinking about.  It wan't really intended as a formal back-up method.

I can't get the BLF on my Aastra 57i's to work with at the moment, could updating to this version possibly help?!

short answer is no.

If you describe what you've done and which aastra model(s) you are using then we can help.  Aastra lamps work fine for BLF in all versions of the code.  Aastralamp is something different.  It allows us (and you) to turn lamps on and off at will on 5xi series aastras.  Currently it is undocumented.  It is inrtended to be used for monitoring multiple mailboxes from a single phone.

I've separated the Aastra BLF thing into a separate post: HERE
