Broken SMF link
« on: March 21, 2008, 11:48:44 PM »
Upon attempting to install SMF I noticed that contrib links are broken. I eventually installed it from the SMF site but the automation of syncing the install to pre-existing SME configurations is an asset lost within the broken link... Just an FYI...

You are asking in the wrong place.  From the wiki:

SMF 1.1.4 for SME 7.x
Maintainer
Sylvain Gomez
mailto:sylvaingomez@free.fr

He (or someone else) needs to update the wiki.

Anyhow, a little searching (and I mean little, it took me all of 30 seconds to find) would have netted you this:

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/smeserver/releases/7/smecontribs/i386/RPMS/smeserver-smf-1.1.4-1.el4.sme.noarch.rpm

And that shows it has been moved to the smecontribs directory and is installable using yum:

yum --enablerepo=smecontribs install smeserver-smf

Couldn't be easier!

Maybe a sticky about if you have lost a contrib rpm then check the smecontribs repo.

yum --disablerepo=* --enablerepo=smecontribs list available

William

IF I give advise.. It's only if it was me....

Updated wiki accordingly: http://wiki.contribs.org/SMF
