spa-2102 and SAIL

Hi all,

We've had a lot of questions regarding set-up of the latest Linksys/Sipura 2102...

Just to let you know, we successfully provisioned  a bunch of Linksys 2102's from the new -505 provisioning system for a remote customer today.  We never unpacked them.  We simply remote logged-in to the customer's SARK box, wanded in the mac addresses off the side of the 2102 boxes and sent them off (we use cheap Chinese barcode scanners we bought off e-bay for 20 bucks each).

The 2102 requires a dual boot from factory defaults.  The first boot sets the load rules for the unit.  The second boot gets its identity proper. The customer unpacked 'em, plugged 'em in, dual booted and up they came and registered.  From box to making calls in under  5 minutes.

Not bad.

S

:-)
