Request for "how to" "stickies"

Just a suggestion:

Having used this, the search is cool and all...but it be real nice to have sections and stickies that say

Contribs- Monotoring --- Nagios (which is now working from what i understand).

such "working" solutions seem to get "lost" somehow in the archives...

Anyhow, Ive been a long time fan and browser of this forum. Its gone through some changes, and the info is getting harder to find. (at least the useful stuff :D )

Because they shouldn't be in the archives. They belong into wiki ( http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation ).
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!

Totally agree....period.

Seems to be going down the Vista road.

You gotta love M$... boot up a brand new system...all kinds of statements to the effect of how much easier M$ is going to make your life.

Then you login......

Please wait....

Diagnosing the problem for a solution.....

No solution found at this time....

On average it takes two to ten times the number of mouse clicks to get the same things done...that is if you can figure out where it's
hiding.

So if M$ can do it why can't forums.contribs.org do it.

Well M$ gets my vote for not ready for prime time for one and as for "easier" well their using a different dictionary than I use.

contribs.org well it needs some improvement I guess...

Don't think I would have chosen SMF over PHPbb but I guess well have to see.

enough said....

On a better note.....the SME dev folks get a BIG pat on the back....!!

Have a good day all....

The post that you quoted was back in May, before the SMF conversion, so I am not completely sure that I am following you... I personally like the search of SMF much better than  PHPbb, I always had such a hard time finding things for some reason w/ PHPbb and not with SMF. I don't think that I am doing anything differently, but I might be.

At any rate, bpvik had it right

The wiki is much easier to find things in than either forum software.
