SME 7.1 and SAIL/Asterisk
« on: March 10, 2007, 05:34:01 PM »
HI everyone,

We've done a pass on SAIL and our asterisk rpms over the last week and we've got a whole new set for you to try.

These should install without modification on all Kernels from 7.0 (34) up to 7.1 (42.0.2) without any intervention.

There are two sets of asterisk rpms, for both ISDN and none-ISDN users and there is a new SAIL release as follows....

None-ISDN

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/selintra/RPMS/AsteriskForSail-2.1.14/None-ISDN/

download;

smeserver-asterisk-zappri-MPP-1.2.6-5.i686.rpm
smeserver-asterisk-1.2.10-5.i686.rpm

ISDN-HFC

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/selintra/RPMS/AsteriskForSail-2.1.14/ISDNHFC/

download;

anabri-asterisk-zappri-florz-1.2.6-6.i686.rpm
anabri-asterisk-florz-1.2.10-7.i686.rpm

========================================

These above will fix kernel difference issues and automatic asterisk start-up issues.

SAIL-434

ftp://81.149.154.14/Pre-Releases/selintra-sail-2.1.14-434.noarch.rpm

=========================================

SAIL-434 fixes QoS startup issues.  We've cleaned up the custom-app daily CDR report and added a new function; *904* which will e-mail a CDR log of the current day's calls for all users to the administrator (admin e-mail address is provided in Globals - password is initially set to 3333 - you can change it to suit yourself in the custom app).

Thanks to Herve Pendeville,  -434 also contains a superb upgrade to automatically recognise and configure the Junghanns MultiBRI cards (4 and 8 BRI).  Cards can be set for both TE and NT operations and SAIL will automatically create the correct trunks/extensions.  Obviously, this code will only work if you have the anabri asterisk rpms installed.  It is a very impressive piece of work and we're very grateful to Herve for this kind contribution to SAIL.  He's also working on some other funky stuff so keep watching.  He knows the code better than we do!

Installation.

Because we've made a few changes to the asterisk rpms we would recommend you remove your existing installs with rpm -e first.  Then simply rpm -Uvh these new ones.

SAIL -434 can be applied directly over an existing install.

N.B. these have had limited testing right now so please treat them as alpha releases.

Best
