Topic: SPA3000 Problem

Hi Selintra,

 A few weeks ago I helped my mate in the UK to install SAIL/Asterisk and we used a Linksys SPA3000. It has now just stopped working, well sort of, the extension suddenly started to ring and my mate had to unplug the phone  Also the incoming calls to it over the BT line stopped working. With a bit of help from me he discovered that there maybe a problem on the BT line so that may account for the incoming calls not working I told him to look at fop and what he saw was ext 5000 (SPA3000) shows as being connected for 9 seconds, then goes back to zero, counts upto 9 secs again and goes back to zero and so on  The same goes for the trunk on the SPA3000, except this goes to 14 secs before it goes to zero. The BT line is now unplugged from the SPA3000. Is this normal or is there a problem with the SPA3000? Thanks again.
