Outgoing Email Delivered Mutiple Times

Hi,

I'm sure there can be many causes of this but if someone with more knowledge than me could point me on the right track I'd be grateful.

I have a client using SME 6.5RC1 who is getting some of his outgoing mail delivered to the recipient mutiple times.  It's not every time and it's not always the same recipient, but is happening quite often.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be the most likely cause of this problem.

The most likely cause is that the receiver is listed as a recipient multiple times - e.g. once directly, and once as part of a group or mailing list.

Nope this is definitely not the problem, as the same thing occurs even if the email is sent to only one recipient.  Also I've discovered that on the receiving end the messages all have the same message ID.

Any Ideas?
