flexbackup stops early with errors
« on: March 14, 2006, 02:09:11 AM »
Hi all,

I have been using flexbackup without any problems for some time, recently though we have been getting this error:
Code: [Select]
buffer (writer): write of data failed: No space left on device
bytes to write=10240, bytes written=-1, total written    9992670K

Now it's a DDS3 4MM, so it should be 12GB native, and we have backed up around 14GB before without any problems. Now this is happening on all our weekly tapes, I even performed
Code: [Select]
flexbackup -newtape             : erase & create new index key (but no backup)
on one of the tapes with no luck.
I was checking to see what it got up to and the last thing it backed up was a .PST file (around 600MB), and the next file on the list was another .PST (around 740MB) could it be the file size ?? The use assured me that he always closes outlook so it wasn't active at the time, and he wouldn't leave it on for around 2 weeks (since we started getting the error).

So an ideas???

Cheers for any help
