I am starting up a new server using SME 7.0 pre3. It's running on a Compaq Proliant ML370
I am using the internal SmartArray add-on card. Is there a way to have the system monitor the health of the raid array and email me when there is a problem?
My old server, an HP Vectra PC, used linux's software raid and was able to monitor the raid array. The reason in fact that I am starting a new server is that the old one emailed me that one of its hard drives failed. I have searched HP's site, but nothing that I tried installed correctly.
I really would like that functionally on the new server. Does anybody have this working already?
