Topic: new contrib announcement page?

I always liked the new contrib announcement link even if it was tough to find (DOCUMENTATION>NEW CONTRIB ANNOUNCEMENTS):

Unfortunately, it's outdated and some contribs have come on recently that I would hate to lose track of (sail, snort, kron, nag, etc).

Can we move/add the link to the contribs section? here: http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/ContribsPage

Is it possible to have it updated (I'll even volunteer to do it on the docs team if needed)?
