After pouring over this for a number of hours and many searches, I changed the permissions on the collection & museum scripts from 660 to 775 and voila - it burst into life and looking like what I was expecting !!

When you get a server-error please have a look at the apache error log in /var/log/httpd I think. Some stuff took me a long time too to find out:-(

vt1211 and SME v7

I am using a M10000 EPIA board. I also have the problem of the missing vt1211 driver. Has anyone found a way to patch and compile the vt1211.c file and make it work with SME v7?
