Here is a short list of contribs  tested to date on sme7.0 alpha20. Others may wish to add their results as things progress for general information.

***GPL – working on sme7a20
sme-server-update-system-1.0-3.noarch.rpm
awstats-sme-server-6.3-1.noarch.rpm
e-smith-advworkgroup-0.1-1.noarch.rpm
e-smith-usershellaccess-0.1-5.noarch.rpm
e-smith-userpanel-1.6.5-3.noarch.rpm
dungog-proftpd-chroot-0.1-6.noarch.rpm

Hi,

I want to set up and run a Quake 4 Dedicated gameserver on my SME 7.0rc1

For this I need usershell access, as I don’t want the Quake 4 Server to be run by root.

I’ve downloaded e-smith-usershellaccess-0.1-5.noarch.rpm from http://www2.cddc.vt.edu/linux/distributions/smeserver/index.php?subdir=contribs%2Fdungog%2Ffiles%2Fsme7&sortby=date

But trying to install the contrib I get the following error:

[root@server sme_7.x]# rpm -ivh e-smith-usershellaccess-0.1-5.noarch.rpm
Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]

file /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/rssh.conf from install of e-smith-usershellaccess-0.1-5 conflicts with file from package e-smith-openssh-1.12.0-01

Any suggestions?

That is a very old contrib, you might want to contact the author and have them update that page.  Try here and see if anything might help you.

The rpm you have tried to install was "vald" in the days of  sme7.0 alpha20.
Try smeserver-remoteuseraccess.noarch        1.0-10                 dungog
Can be installed with yum, check http://www.dungog.net/sme/repo.php
