Yes, just follow the installation document.

Yes, just like every linux distro,

This is the open-source version that will work with all linux distros.  You will have to follow the instructions and configure based on e-smith/SME requirements.

I created an ibay named twig, copied the contents of twiggi there....followed the instuctions, and get a blank page.

got it....you either need to name your ibay twiggi, or change the file /config/config.inc.php to match your ibay.

I installed it per instructions and it's working fine, looks great, now for feature requests....
I stuck it in under ...primary/html/twiggi, is that OK or is a separate ibay better?

I have problems with the install - I recevie an error on line 31, my guess is that i an giving the wrong path for mail... can anyone tell me what it should be and what other lines i should change that deviate from the instructions on the twiggi home page?

Many thanks

I too tried to install it in a twiggi ibay and got a blank page

I am not sure either about the email location.

The REAL question is however, how do I replace imp with twiggi???

Hi all,

Like most newbies, I was hoping that someone might come up with a step-by-step howto on this. Also any step differences if installing on ESSG 4.1.2 and on SME 5.

Perhaps Darrel ? Pretty please ... :)

Cheers,

If you are looking for a step by step instructions, check out:

http://www.neddix.de/twiggi-gw

I think Darrell posted that during his initial post.  It has an install link on it with some step by step instructions for a basic install.

Darell,  nice work on this!!  As I look around it a bit I am finding that it has little nicer of a feel that PHPGroupware.

Thanks for the reply David.

However, I did say 'newbie' :). Of course, I did check out the twiggi page before this. But, typical of a newbie, references like DocumentRoot,  httpd_user and the likes generally mean very little and leaves lots of guesswork. Remembering also that SME and ESSG is not a 'typical' Linux install either.

Yes, I guess you could say I need spoon feeding on things like this. If you could just use rpm -Uvh some_rpm_file to update it, great ! But since you can't, some hand holding for newbies really helps.

Many thanks.

Kelvin,

twiggi works on every linux distro, which meets the requirements stated on the twiggi homepage.

e-smith/SME5's DocumentRoot is "/home/e-smith/files/primary/html" and the httpd_user is "www"
