I would appreciate any improovements for the script which may be downloaded in the download section at
< http;//schwarzecker.homelinux.net/index.php >.
Category Typo3.

Please be aware that Typo3 needs a little bit faster PC.
At least my testing model: Pentium 133MHz  bogomips : 266.24 is considered to be much too slow. So 500 Mhz with 512 MB RAM should be sufficient which I tested as well was roughly fine.
This installscript should work for both SME Versions 6.0.1 and 6.5RC1.
As the install script is still alpha any improovements are appreciated.

It will download the following
chkfontpath-1.9.5-2.i386.rpm
freetype-2.0.9-2.i386.rpm
ghostscript-6.52-8.i386.rpm
ghostscript-fonts-5.50-3.noarch.rpm
ImageMagick-5.4.3.11-1.i386.rpm
libtiff-3.5.7-2.2.legacy.i386.rpm
libungif-4.1.0-10.i386.rpm
Omni-0.5.1-3.i386.rpm
ttfonts-1.0-9.noarch.rpm
urw-fonts-2.0-17.noarch.rpm
VFlib2-2.25.6-4.i386.rpm
XFree86-font-utils-4.2.0-8.i386.rpm
XFree86-libs-4.2.0-8.i386.rpm
XFree86-xfs-4.2.0-8.i386.rpm

rpms

the Typo3 zip file
quickstart-3.7.0.zip

install the rpms
insert some values for first installation
change some ownerships
and will give at the end a short discription how to finish the first steps during setup of Typo3.

joh316 is the password during first setuproutine of Typo3 which shuold be changed immediately.
Go through all points of first setup and choose the correct configuration for you.
Hit in point 2 the "COMPARE" to write the first tables to the database.
Add an "admin" user with "your_new_password" in the same point 2 to be able to sign in in the BackEnd GUI via webbrowser afterwards.

Enjoy life and have a nice day. Gerald :-)

Hi,

Nice job.  I have a question, why do I have not the static template.
