3 Servers as gateway
« on: February 10, 2005, 02:54:33 PM »
Hi,

I do have 3 proxy servers in 3 different bldgs.  I used SME 6.0.1.  I configure them as 'server and gateway'.  They are in different local segment.

Bldg. A: 192.168.0.0
Bldg. B: 192.168.1.0
Bldg. C: 192.168.2.0

However their public ip addresses is in the same segment.  Our ISP gave us a few public ip addresses.  and we distributed them to our existing proxy servers.

What we want to happen is that those 3 different segments must not be seen in the Entire Network and each segement must not accessed by other segements.

Well theoritically, they can't be seen using ip address.  But if each workstation add the NetBEUI protocol in windows then they can access other segements.

Is there anything i need to configure so that each segements can't view other segements even NetBEUI is in added on each workstations?

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much....

Nald

.. you might be able to find a port blocking contrib here (I seem to recall seeing one around before) that can block port 139 (I think).

Other wise put a router between each network segment and do it that way.
