DHCP -> Static Address does not Stick
« on: November 11, 2004, 03:48:13 PM »
Hello,

If your external LAN interface is set to DHCP (hardware address), and you change it to static, supply the static IP, NetMask, DG & DNS... Upon reboot the staticlly assigned address is the same as the last DHCP assigned address before the reboot.

You essentially have to go into Configure this Server a second time to re-set the Static IP.
Obviously two Reboots and Post-upgrades take Aaaages

Only mildly annoying, but definately a Bug  :hammer:

Nick/Brian - have you opened a bug report? If so (or when you do) please provide a reference to it here.

Charlie you're about two years too late.
"It should just work" if it doesn't report it. Thanks!

Without a bug report, nobody is able to determine whether the issue has been resolved.
