No Antivirus Tagging!

Hi,

I understand that this flavour of question is asked quite often, but I've been reading through the doc's and the forums and can't seem to crack it.

I have a fresh install. I popped over to http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/index.html?frame=http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/howtos/howto_22.htm and followed to easy 2 step process as described.

Seemed simple enough. Now I was ready to give it a whirl. I sent a test virus, as downloaded from eicar. Then... Nothing... I sent it to myself using IMP. Does this not apply? There was no tagging, no warning, nothing. I logged in to the shell and forced a scan of a file with the eicar signature in it. Detected! ClamAV is working ok, but its integration with my mail isnt.

Is there something i Have overlooked? Does it not apply for internal mail?

Cheers,

Tim

You should see something like this in the message source which confirms the message was scanned

X-Virus-Scanned: by amavis-ng-x.x.x.x-xxxx on servername.yourdomain.com

If not, your install or configuration is wrong

Thanks!

All fixed :D

The clamd logs are a little confusing as they say:

Code: [Select]
-> Mail files support disabled.

One other question slightly on topic is... I have also installed the MRTG contrib from http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/

Its a pretty interesting tool. However, even though I have cleared the virus' using the panel, and check the directory on the server (empty) it still says the current virus count is 3. Even though it should now be 0

Anyone else having this happen?
