Still with errors :(
« Reply #30 on: May 12, 2004, 01:47:08 PM »
I just reformat and install 6.01-01 contribs version.
And do upgrade for these pkgs:
[root@urso qmail]# ls /root/lixo/SMTP\ auth/
comandos                               perl-libnet-1.17-1.i386.rpm
e-smith-email-4.15.0-06.noarch.rpm     perl-Net-Server-0.85-1.i386.rpm
e-smith-lib-1.15.0-14.noarch.rpm       perl-perl-ldap-0.31-1.i386.rpm
e-smith-mailfront-1.5.0-02.noarch.rpm  proftpd-1.2.9-es3.i386.rpm
initscripts-6.67-1es26.i386.rpm        sortspam-1.1.0-05.i386.rpm
perl-Authen-SASL-2_06-1_i386.rpm

Executed these command:

[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtp-auth-proxy Userid jader31
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtp-auth-proxy Passwd 1111111
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtp-auth-proxy Debug enabled
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtp-auth-proxy status enabled
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/signal-event email-update
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/config show smtp-auth-proxy
smtp-auth-proxy=service
    Debug=enabled
    Passwd=1111111
    Userid=jader31
    status=enabled
[root@urso root]#
[root@urso root]# /sbin/e-smith/config show SMTPSmartHost
SMTPSmartHost=smtp.terra.com.br

But I´m still getting errors:
4000000040a20c020cb257e4 delivery 2: deferral: 127.0.0.1_does_not_like_recipient./Remote_host_said:_450_<admin@abandonemicrosoft.net>:_Sender_address_rejected:_Domain_not_found/Giving_up_on_127.0.0.1./

Why I could to get these error messages ?

*sigh* This might have something to do with it.

[msoulier@sme60build download]$ host abandonemicrosoft.net
Host abandonemicrosoft.net not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)

The upstream mail server, rightly so, is rejecting your email because the sender domain does not exist.

qmail auth problem
« Reply #34 on: July 07, 2004, 05:32:21 AM »
I am going nuts with this also. I have a server running SME 6.0-01at a customers location that is connected to a sbc-yahoo dsl line (PPOE)Everything I have tried will not let any email out. Checking mail logs says that it is not authenticating.

They are using my server as their pop server so they can have vertial domain mail accounts.

I have server with static IP also running SME 6.0-01.
I have tried to let them use my server as the smtp server, and I can receive email sent to me, but if the try to send it to a hotmail account, it bounces back with a message
Quote
my ip does not like recipient
Remote host said: 553 Sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed
rcpthosts

Guess I am lost. I tried to do what jader did, but the rpms don't seem to want to install. failed dependencies.

Any other ideas
If I need to add any info, please tell me what else you need to know

Thank

Bob

I did find a way arround my problem In another post I found.

Quote
/sbin/e-smith/config setprop smtpfront-qmail Proxy disabled
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event remoteaccess-update

Then in outlook express, I put the smtp address for the isp. Then in the settings for the outgoing mail server, I put the login and password for the isp mail account. All is well for now. Now I just have to change the rest of the workstations.

After updating the esmith-email package and setting up smtp auth, I receive the following error when making changes to Jesper Knudsen's spam filter configuration page.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

The admin_error_log shows this:-

[Fri Feb 11 19:35:02 2005] spamfilter: ERROR: You cannot set a config record without a type.
[Fri Feb 11 19:35:02 2005] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] malformed header from script. Bad header=</pre>: /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin/spamfilter

Then I get a whole load of these:-

[Fri Feb 11 19:35:03 2005] [crit] (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 127.0.0.1 port 980

I get a similar error when trying to make changes to dungogs user-panel manager.

Any ideas why?

Thanks, James.
