Take a look in the /et/e-smith/events folder
All available events are represented as folders with one or more scripts inside.
Calling "signal-event eventname" has similar effect as calling batch job with one or more scripts included.

Hi Klaus,

On a stock SME install (ie. with no add-ons), signal-event reboot does not do any more than just reboot itself. The e-smith reboot event is useful for any software / add-ons / etc that might need clear-down / shutdown procedure(s) to be done before rebooting. You would then put these instructions to be called from the e-smith reboot event.
