stop logging local traffic

Anyone have an idea how I could reconfigure httpd.conf to not log my local traffic on 192.168.1.x?

I thought I could just run a cron to remove the lines, but I have awstats running and not sure if that would bugger it up. I can see the httpd.conf file and the mention of the access_log. I would rather not have another cron process running.

I would like to keep the logging of the external eth1 traffic for awstats.

I think this idea would benifit many admins who don't care how there local users access there own web sites and like to keep trim log files.

In the server manager panel for awstats (depending which contrib you installed) there are three settings, would one of those should do what you want.

 
Ignore hits from your local network:
 
Ignore hits from your external IP or network:
 
Ignore hits from local networks as
defined in the 'Local networks' panel:
