I think I understand how this is supposed to work. I am running my own email through dyndns.org - everything works fine if I'm on the inside of my lan.
In the SMTP and POP fields on Outlook I'm using "pc-man.com" and that works fine so long as I don't try to send anything. My e-smith server uses smtp.comcast.net for the ISP setting in mail and that works fine too.
However, when I VPN in from anywhere, I can't send email. It gives me an rcpt relay error in Outlook telling me it can't

553 Sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts.
And it still won't work even while I'm on the VPN using 192.168.0.253 as my smtp and pop addresses. I can get mail with no difficulty but I can't send my email. Anyone get by this?
