Topic: Fetching mail with webmail

Hi !
When i use the webmail and outlook97 together the mail in my mailbox on the
server starts to generate copies of mail to my outlook97 client. it feeler like
my client do not now that it has fetch my mail once before.

It happens only wen i log on to the webmail.
And it happens every time!

What to do ?

By the way i am using SME-server 5.6 but the same happen on my 5.5 vers.
And i using Pop mail.

Webmail uses IMAP, where mail is stored on the server. IMAP uses several subfolders under each folder for storing messages (cur, new, tmp). I'm guessing it has something to do with IMAP making a copy or moving a message. POP3 then sees it as two different messages...

The easy way to fix it would be to use IMAP all the time, but Outlook 97 doesn't support IMAP. You'd have to get 98+ or switch to Outlook Express.
