Topic: NIM service on port 1058/udp

During a routine scan of several networks I control I found that on one machine I have this port open.

1058/udp   NIM

On another network I have an unknown 1024 port open.

1024/usp  unknown

Both of these ports are open on the internal and external interface.  eth0 and eth1

They are only open to UDP traffic.

Are they supposed to be open??
