re-route www to DNS server on network
« on: February 22, 2002, 11:30:08 AM »
I have e-smith 4.1.2 and I want to re-route www to a DNS server running windows 2000 server. I tried going to host names and pointing www to 192.168.2.11 which is the ip for the DNS server.  I can see it local but not outside the net. I change the ip of the e-smith machine to match the ip from my registra.  The e-smith machine is set up as a DCHP server. If I type the ip address on the outside i get the e-smith default web page.

Forward port 80 (using Darrell May's Port Forward HowTo....do a search of the threads for it, it was discussed earlier this week) to the 2K Server.
