Topic: qmail and /var/log/maillog

Always one thing after another huh!

Anyway got multipop working, and email is coming through like a charm....

However there is an odd thing with the way qmail logs smtpd messages. I've set the timezone to GMT (or more correctly BST) but messages in /var/log/maillog for SMTPD are in EDT - so it goes a bit like this

21:31 :  log entry
21:31 : log entry
16:31 : SMTPD log entry
21:31 - log entry

If you read the messages in your mail client they also show the same discrepancy.

Reading on the web tends to suggest that qmail logs everything in GMT - however in this case it goes to EDT

Any clues?
