Topic: Virtual domains stop working after 6 beta 3 installed

Any ideas??

I have som virtual domains...and none of them works after 6 beta 3 has been installed..??

The primary site takes all request !

This happened to me as well after upgrading the 6.0beta2 to 6.0beta3 using the RPMS. I ran rpm -Uvh on the bunch and not all installed. I then tried rpm -ivh with similar results.  Finally tried rpm -Fvh and all installed. After rebooting I found virtual hosts broken as well. Removing and readding the domain and ibay did not really help. I am now downloading the full iso and hopefully I will be able to do a fresh install and get all to work again.

Good luck - but that didn't work for me. I have created a cdrom from the full iso download of 6 beta 3

Ibays and domains doesnt work @!#$

I'm now in the progress og scrathing my machine..installine 5.6..restore my server....and then move my mail from the 'corrupted' 6 beta3 installation.... DARN...

Any other ideas....og anyone now how to get virtual domains to work on 6 beta 3 ?

Thank you for reporting the problem. I've seen the issue myself, and it's fixed in e-smith-apache-1.0.0-02.noarch.rpm, which I've just made available in my contrib area.

It should appear soon on the mirror sites.

Please, report the problem first.

Thanks Mike!

This solved the problem.

1) Installed updated e-smith-apache.1.0.0-02
2) Verified installed.
3) rebooted server.
4) added test i-bay and test domain
5)updated dns server
6) I had to select modify and then save existing ibays to get them to work.
7) all ok now thanks to Mike Soulier

I also had the problem with the virtual domains.

On a test machine I first did the upgrade of Apache shown earlier in this topic.
After that I created an Ibay and a domain pointing to it, but after restarting the service or a reboot it still isn't working for me. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I can't think of something I can do different.

I tested to create a virtual domain pointing to the Primary Ibay and that doesn't work also.

Has anyone an idea of solving the problem?

Have you run /sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade and then /sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot ?

Thnx, I did this and after the reboot it worked fine. But when I create a new virtual domain it isn't working again and I need to do the post-upgrade and reboot again.

After that it works again

Thanks for your help, it works good enough for me/for now. Maybe in the next 6.0 release it works like before. I hope so.

This patch solved the Virtual Domain problems alright, but it seem I still experience problems, but with ftp.
I have set my server to have public ftp access, because I share articles and stuff, but it seems that all my hosted domains all point only at the primary public ftp IBay folder, like it was the case with the Virtual Domains and primary IBay before this patch regarding web. Can anyone confirm this?

As we've said perhaps a hundred times - report all problems (only) to smebugs@mitel.com. Please provide enough detail for us to replicate the problem.
