[RESOLVED]Same mails over and over again
« on: March 16, 2015, 10:30:33 PM »
Hallo!

Hey,
thx for your fast reply!
New mails are arriving.
The mails are exact the same, time and date are the same.
3 days ago i wanted to set up IMAP so i am able to use the mail account on my new tablet too.

Did you deleted the repeating mails through POP or IMAP?

Interesting...

You could delete these messages manually from the server, but that would not let you find the root cause of this. It sounds like that 1 of your IMAP clients is syncing back these mails (maybe your tablet?)

Sorry, I was to busy yesterday evening.

It does'nt work
I only use one LAptop for now with Linux and Kmail... same problem, the mails are comming again and again.
Is it possible that i have some problems with my PATH variable abd this causes the problem?

on ssh connection to my SME server i cannot type signal event....  I always have to give the full Path, otherwise i get
" signal event .... command or file not found.

Sorry for my english ;)

You should never need to rebuld your path variables. So something happened.

I suggest we move this topic to the English forums where there is a much boarder audience to assist you.

Do you agree?

Just a couple of things on the PATH issue:

1.  The command is "signal-event", not "signal event".  Make sure you include the hyphen.

2.  The command only works when you're logged in as the root user; it's not in a normal user's path.

3.  If you logged in as a normal user (e.g., through ssh) and then use su to become root, you need to do "su -" to get root's environment right.

mhh,
point 1. I know about the hyphen but i forgot it to write it correct in my posting.
point 2. I also know that this commands need to run as root.

but..
point 3. i did'nt know. I always logg in as user and then switch to root so this is a really good tip ..
Thank you very much.

So my Imap problem is not a failure of my PATH...
