Yesterday I was unable to update a fresh install, it would fail partway into the software update process with various errors at various stages.
Wasted a LOT of time searching here and NOTHING fixed the problem despite several installs.
Solution? Go home and relax! ( as in , when all else fails, quit! )javascript:emoticon('')
Idea
This morning, a simple sequence of
cd /home/e-smith/db
rm yum_re*
signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot
re-enabled the installer, and the installation proceeded without incident.
I suspect that the problem was network and server related, perhaps some files in the list were off line or the versions no longer correct. In any case, the problem self corrected overnight, and apparently had nothing to do with my local settings or equipment.
