Topic: SME8b7 install grub error: file not found

I just installed SME8b7 on a test box, Optiplex 170L with 2port add-on SATA card. One hd connected to onboard SATA and one connected to add-on card. Since my test system is a rather strange configuration was not sure if I needed to do a bug report.

After install, was left with error: file not found and sitting with a grub rescue prompt. With my hardware and the fact that I tinker a lot with software RAID, thought the problem may have been due to the hard drive configuration or SATA addon card causing an issue with the grub boot code.

Resolved the issue by booting the SME8b7 cd to linux rescue mode and then doing:

chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/sda
grub-install /dev/sdb

Rebooted and the system came up cleanly.
